You made the work.
I'll build it somewhere worth finding.

PulseCatalog is an independent web studio designing and building custom digital homes for musicians and artists. One person, directly involved in every site.

Manifesto

Artists create worlds.

A song isn't just an audio file. A photograph isn't just an image. A performance isn't just a date on a calendar. Together they become a body of work — an identity, an atmosphere, a catalog.

Most of the internet flattens that into profiles, feeds and templates. PulseCatalog exists to give artists a piece of the internet that feels like their own.

  1. Every site begins with the artist.
  2. Every system is built around the work.
  3. Every detail has a reason to be there.

No house style. No templates. Just somewhere your work belongs

Practice

Four disciplines,
one person.

Art direction + design

A visual language built around your work — not a preset aesthetic.

  • Direction drawn from your music, imagery and story
  • Typography, palette, layout and motion
  • Designed for every screen, phone first

Development

Custom-built, responsive and fast.

  • Hand-coded — no page builders, no themes
  • Fast-loading, mobile-first, accessible
  • Code handoff any time, on request. No lock-in.

Artist infrastructure

Everything people actually come looking for.

  • Music players, video and release pages
  • Show dates, booking and press (EPK) pages
  • Merch shops on Stripe or Square — physical and digital
  • Privacy, terms and the quiet trust details

Ongoing care

When the work changes, the site changes with it.

  • Managed hosting, SSL, DNS and uptime monitoring
  • New photos, dates and copy — send it, it's handled
  • Discovery: schema markup, sitemap, llms.txt, GA4 + Search Console
  • Music metadata across streaming platforms

Process

From first conversation
to launch.

  1. Conversation

We talk about your work, who you want to reach, and what people should do when they arrive.

  2. Direction

I put together an initial creative direction — at no cost — so you can see where I'd take it before committing to anything.

  3. Build

You send the materials: photos, bio, links, dates. I design and build, share a review link, revise, then ship.

  4. Launch + care

The site goes live on your domain. From there, ongoing care keeps it current as the work moves.

Most sites: one to two weeks. Larger builds and shops: three to four.

Engagements

Clear terms.
No lock-in.

Who you'll work with

No account managers.
No handoffs.

I'm Jarod. I design and build every PulseCatalog site myself, and I'm the person you talk to from the first message to launch day — and after.

I started PulseCatalog after watching too many artists get sold bloated website packages that didn't help them book shows, sell work or grow an audience. An artist's website should feel as considered as the work they're putting into the world. Most don't. I'm trying to change that one site at a time.

Questions

Plainly answered.

What does a site cost?

A five-page artist site starts at $149 one-time. Hosting and monthly care start at $49/month. Care+ — with SEO infrastructure, analytics and music metadata — is $79/month. Shops and larger builds are quoted per project.

How long does it take?

A typical five-page site takes one to two weeks from first conversation to launch. Larger builds and merch shop integrations take three to four.

Do you build merch shops?

Yes — built into your site, not bolted on. Physical goods, apparel, prints and digital downloads, integrated with Stripe or Square.

How do you help people — and AI — find me?

Schema markup, a clean sitemap, considered meta tags and an llms.txt file give Google and AI assistants like ChatGPT, Claude and Perplexity the context to understand who you are and recommend you accurately. Care+ adds music metadata across streaming platforms.

Do you work with artists outside the US?

Yes. The studio is fully remote and works with artists anywhere.

Can I take the code with me later?

Yes. Code handoff is available at any time on written request. There's no lock-in.
